Ana Benacerraf

Ana studied Biology at the University of Buenos Aires, where she obtained a dual BS-MS degree with a concentration in Animal Physiology. As a student at UBA, she gained extensive laboratory exposure and did two research internships at the Institute of Cell Biology and Neuroscience and at the Biology Division of the National Commission of Atomic Energy.
After graduation, Ana worked for several years in a contract research organization in Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Research Associate roles. She is experienced in project management, regulatory affairs, site management and process improvement. As a CRA, she managed and oversaw clinical sites in Argentina participating in Infectious Diseases phase 3 trials for medium-sized biotechnology companies.
Interested in technology transfer and the start-up ecosystem, Ana moved to the US to pursue her second master’s in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship at New York University. She is now in her second year of her MS program and doing a research internship in protein engineering at NYU Langone Medical Center.
