Dr. Sabyasachi Dash

Postdoctoral Research Associate
Currently a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Weill Cornell Medicine investigating molecular mechanisms underlying Brain Stroke. He is also actively involved in Tri-Institutional Therapeutics Discovery Institute (TDI) at Weill Cornell focusing on discovering novel therapeutics to prevent brain stroke and related neuro-vascular disorders. He was trained in the laboratory of Dr. Chandravanu (CV) Dash at the Meharry Medical College, TN as an international Ph.D. fellow where his discoveries included clues for cocaine-induced gene regulation and associated molecular mechanisms in dopaminergic neurons.
Outside the academic environment he is a nature lover, a committed and highly motivated intellectual who is fond of mentoring and training budding science enthusiasts. A strong believer of networking and a passionate innovative mind, Sabyasachi is an active participant/volunteer in many entrepreneurship-networking events. Inspired by the mantras of his business guru, Dr. Mrutyunjay (Jay) Suar, CEO of KIIT-Technology Business Incubator (Bhubaneswar, India), Sabyasachi also channelizes his energy towards mentoring young minds at his home institution (KIIT School of Biotechnology) in India.
